The pre-release browser player does not upload your selected files. This page explains what stays locally and what is not connected yet.

The file you choose
The browser plays your selected video or music through a local Blob URL. It does not upload file bytes, contact the desktop engine, or send provider credentials to this website. Codec support depends on your browser and device.
Artwork ambience may sample one video frame on your device to tint the surrounding page. That frame is not transmitted. No automatic title lookup is enabled in this player.
Saved in this browser
Resume uses a SHA-256 fingerprint of the file's name, size and last-modified time, together with position, duration and update time. It does not hash or save the media bytes. Theme and ambience preferences are also stored locally.
Clear this site's data in your browser settings to remove these saved positions and preferences. Resume requires you to select the same file again; it is not an online library or cross-device account.
Your local engine
StreamCast's desktop engine keeps its library, playback history and provider sessions on your computer. Telegram setup and permitted connected-source playback happen there, not on the public site. Private Google Drive consent is not implemented.
The full-app guide opens a local address only after you enter it. It does not probe your network. The engine is intended for one local user, not a shared public service. Incognito limits app-managed history; it does not hide your activity from networks, providers or torrent peers.
The Android preview
Same-Wi-Fi pairing is an unpublished developer preview. It uses explicit approval, a one-use invite and a pinned TLS connection to your own desktop engine. Provider tokens stay on the desktop. There is no verified public APK yet.
The optional QR scanner uses Google Play services where available. A scan is validated on the phone and still needs confirmation before pairing. Paste remains a fallback. The current Android source keeps a bounded local crash summary without exception messages and does not upload crash reports.
Website requests
Opening this website requests its pages, artwork and bundled fonts. When deployed on Cloudflare Pages, the hosting provider may process ordinary request information such as network address and browser information. “No media upload” does not mean “no website requests.”
This site has no advertising trackers or hosted user accounts. Future optional artwork matching would need a separate disclosure and off switch before any cleaned title is sent to a metadata provider.
